The Backyard Farm produces deep and medium nucs for sale. Nucs are all made by us in our apiaries in Northern Virginia and the Piedmont with our own frames of bees. We primarily use Queens that are Carniolian and/or open mated Russian stock. Queens are a mix of those we rear ourselves and others sourced from French Hill Apiary, Richland Honey Bees, and Strachan Apiaries who engages in hygienic breeding.
